Architect Konrad Wachsmann (1901-1980) proposed the idea of a single mass-produced structural component that creates a larger holistic system. That design methodology inspired “Star Loop”, a series of modules that snap and interlock to create a coordination-based joinery system. Star Loop’s chaotic interlocking network uses its curving form to reinforce itself. The system begins with a single curved member that connects in triads of itself at 60-degree angles to bloom into elaborate three-dimensional patterns that snap into place from the x, y, and z-axis.
